AMMAN — Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Saturday, with moderate summer weather prevailing across most areas and hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Low-level clouds are expected to appear over northern Jordan, while westerly winds will be moderate, occasionally strengthening and raising dust, particularly in the Badia.

At night, Jordan will be affected by a weak state of atmospheric instability, with increasing cloud cover at various altitudes. Temperatures will be pleasant in the highlands and moderate elsewhere, with a chance of light rain showers in northern areas late at night.

Highs and lows in East Amman are expected to range between 33°C and 21°C, compared with 31°C and 19°C in West Amman, 28°C and 16°C in the northern highlands, and 29°C and 14°C in the Sharah Highlands.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 37°C and 18°C in the Badia, 32°C and 17°C in the plains, 39°C and 23°C in the northern Jordan Valley, 41°C and 24°C in the southern Jordan Valley, 40°C and 23°C at the Dead Sea, and 41°C and 24°C in Aqaba.

According to the department’s forecast, temperatures will fall further on Sunday. The weather will be partly cloudy and moderate across most areas, while remaining relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba.

There will be a chance of rain showers in northern Jordan during the morning, extending to parts of the western central areas. Thunderstorms may accompany the showers at times in the north. Westerly winds will be moderate, occasionally strengthening and raising dust, particularly in the Badia.

On Monday, temperatures will rise slightly, bringing moderate summer conditions to most areas and relatively hot weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low-level clouds are expected over northern areas, with moderate northwesterly winds occasionally becoming stronger.

Temperatures will rise again on Tuesday, with moderate summer weather prevailing across most areas and hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate, shifting from northeasterly to northwesterly and occasionally strengthening.
