Raed Al-Khatib, Director of the Department of Meteorology, told the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that showers are expected to continue intermittently until evening in northern parts of the Kingdom and may extend to limited areas in some central and eastern regions, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms in the north and east.
He indicated that the current weather is part of the expected effects of an atmospheric instability system, urging caution due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by low clouds and rainfall.
Earlier, the Department had warned of reduced visibility in the morning due to fog over high mountain areas and parts of the plains, occasional reduced visibility due to dust stirred by winds—particularly in desert and Badia regions—and the risk of slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall. – (Petra)
