Amman, Jordan - Hamzah Yaghnam, a senior at the American Community School in Amman and a member of the 2008 Jordanian Youth National Soccer Team, has developed and launched TimeFit, a time management app designed specifically for student-athletes. The app is now available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Yaghnam is a winger who currently plays for Jordan Knights and has competed in the Jordanian Pro League. He also carries a full academic course load at one of Amman's top international schools.
TimeFit started as a personal spreadsheet. Yaghnam created it while trying to manage competitive soccer across multiple elite teams, a rigorous academic course load, and everyday life. No existing tool could handle the complexity of his schedule, so he built his own system. When he began sharing it with teammates and fellow student-athletes across Jordan, he quickly realized the problem was widespread. The challenge of balancing sport and school was common, and no one had built a proper solution for it.
That recognition turned a personal fix into a real product. With no formal training in technology or design, Yaghnam taught himself UI/UX design from scratch and took on the role of founder and lead project manager. He designed every screen, planned every feature, and directed the full product vision, working alongside a developer to bring the technical build to life.
TimeFit includes AI-powered meal planning that generates personalized weekly plans based on activity level and dietary preferences, one-tap tracking for hydration, sleep, and workouts, weekly progress charts, and an integrated calendar that brings a student-athlete's entire schedule into one place.
"This app started as a spreadsheet I made for myself just to get through the week," said Yaghnam. "As a student-athlete competing at the national level, you have to manage your time down to the minute. When I realized my teammates and other athletes were dealing with the exact same problem, I knew it could be something bigger. I taught myself design, mapped out every feature, and built something that I hope can help others in the same position."
Yaghnam represents a new kind of student-athlete. He saw a problem that thousands of young athletes face daily, and rather than wait for someone else to solve it, he taught himself the skills, assembled a team, and brought a product to market. He plans to continue developing TimeFit with new features based on user feedback and to expand its reach beyond Jordan.
TimeFit is available now on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
