The final results were as follows: Miss Universe – Fatima Bush; First Runner-Up – Praveenar Singh of Thailand; Second Runner-Up – Stefani Abasali of Venezuela; Third Runner-Up – Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines; and Fourth Runner-Up – Olivia Yacé of Côte d’Ivoire.
Bush delivered one of the strongest final answers when contestants were asked: If you won Miss Universe tonight, how would you use this platform to empower young girls?
She responded confidently: “I would tell every girl: believe in your inner strength, believe in yourself. Your dreams matter, your heart matters, and never let anyone diminish your worth… You are strong, and your voice deserves to be heard.”
Her journey to the crown was not easy. She revealed she had struggled since childhood with ADHD and dyslexia, but turned these challenges into a driving force in her life. Through art and sustainable fashion, she began using discarded materials to create artistic pieces sold to benefit those in need, especially children with cancer.
Bush studied fashion design at Iberoamericana University in Mexico and continued her education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan before beginning her pageant career in 2018.
This year’s edition also witnessed controversy, most notably a public dispute between Bush and the pageant’s organizer two weeks before the final. The conflict erupted after he reportedly called her “stupid” for not posting promotional content, sparking widespread outrage. Bush, however, remained silent until the night of her coronation.
