The second edition of the international “The Best” Festival honored acclaimed actor Ahmed Zaher, along with his daughters Malak and Laila and their husband and producer Hesham Gamal, during a ceremony held in Cairo near the Pyramids.

The event witnessed a notable presence of distinguished figures from the worlds of art and media. Ahmed Zaher received the award for Best Actor of 2025 for his acclaimed performance as “Farouq Al-Jabbas” in the series Sayyid Al-Nas. His daughters Malak and Laila were also honored for their distinguished artistic contributions, while producer Hesham Gamal was recognized for his impactful achievements in the drama industry.
Zaher expressed his happiness with the honor, noting that the international “The Best” Festival holds great value for him, as it reflects that his hard work has paid off. He credited his family’s support and those close to him for helping him reach this level of excellence, while affirming that the best is yet to come.
Speaking to the press, Zaher said he does not prefer to evaluate his own work, but instead leaves that to audiences and fans on social media, stating: “My artistic effort is strengthened by my audience.”
Zaher also spoke about his new series “Le’ba We Et’alabet Ba’d” (A Game That Turned Around), directed by Hatem Metwally in his first directorial experience. He noted that audiences will witness a strong and promising debut from Metwally.
He added that the series features a large cast, including Rahma Ahmed, Souhir Ben Amara, Zeinat Youssef Shaaban in her first appearance in Egypt, Hajjaj Abdelazim, in addition to eight children selected for standout roles.
Ahmed Zaher concluded by extending his special thanks to all those responsible for the event and expressed appreciation to the distinguished organizer Ahmed El-Hawary for the invitation, noting that such recognition represents significant value for outstanding figures in various fields, and that the success of the ceremony is owed to everyone who attended.
