Singer Mohammad Fadl Shaker opened up about his emotions after performing alongside his father at the two “Return of the Absent” concerts as part of Riyadh Season, saying he still cannot fully grasp that a dream he had waited years to see has finally come true, with his father returning to the stage after an absence of more than 14 years.

Mohammad said in media statements that he has been overwhelmed with shock and happiness since the second concert ended.
“Honestly, I am still in shock. I cannot believe that something I had been waiting for years has actually happened. Thank God, by the grace of God,” he said.
He described his father’s return as more than a family occasion, saying it was a moment that his fans around the world had also been waiting for. He praised the support Fadl Shaker received throughout his years away from the stage.
Concern Behind the Scenes
Regarding his visibly tense appearance during preparations, Mohammad explained that he was not worried about his father’s ability to perform as much as he was preoccupied with following every detail of his appearance.
“I was simply worried about him,” he said, stressing that Fadl Shaker continues to be surrounded by the love and support of his fans.
Fadl Shaker appeared on the Riyadh Season stage in Saudi Arabia to a thunderous reception and an enthusiastic welcome from the audience at his first concert marking his return to live performances after a 14-year absence.
His arrival on the Abu Bakr Salem Theater stage was met with prolonged applause, fireworks and loud cheers from the crowd.
Shaker remained silent for an extended period, giving the audience the space to express its welcome. The venue echoed with cheers, applause and whistles as fans expressed their excitement at seeing the singer return. He did not utter a word during the emotional moment.
Fadl Shaker’s first live performance after his long absence from public events was notable for his appearance alongside his son, Mohammad Shaker. The two performed several songs together, including “Keefak A Firaqi,” which had previously been released as a music video.
