A remarkable fossil insect named Bcharreglaris haddadini was recently documented from the 140-million-year-old Jordanian amber. The species was identified and officially named by researcher Hani Al-Qudumi, who chose the name haddadini in honor of Dr. Abbas Haddadin, the discoverer of Jordanian amber and one of the leading figures who revealed its scientific importance.

This exceptionally preserved specimen represents one of the oldest insects known from the Lower Cretaceous amber of Jordan. Its outstanding state of preservation provides rare insights into the ancient ecosystems that thrived during that geological period.
The fossil has also been registered internationally under the catalog number 514485, securing its place as a recognized scientific specimen in the global paleontological record.
