Dabin Forest offers a unique tourist experience, blending natural beauty, biodiversity, and ecological features that attract visitors and nature tourism enthusiasts seeking peaceful adventures.

Engineer Basheer Al-Ayasra, Director of Dabin Forest Reserve, emphasized that forest protection is a collective responsibility requiring cooperation between official bodies and local communities. He highlighted that forest wealth requires heightened efforts to reduce risks and prevent violations, particularly fires that could destroy hundreds of hectares. Reforestation of such areas may take centuries.

Al-Ayasra also pointed to the reserve’s ancient tree species, including oak, maple, carob, and pine, some of which are hundreds of years old, stressing the importance of collaborative efforts to preserve this natural heritage that took centuries to reach its current state.

Mohammed Al-Shalabi, Director of Jerash Antiquities, noted that Dabin Forest Reserve is among the most important natural sites enhancing Jerash’s tourism potential. Its environmental diversity and scenic beauty complement the province’s famous archaeological sites, offering visitors the opportunity to combine cultural tourism with ecological experiences.

He added that the reserve’s rich biodiversity adds value to Jerash’s tourism offerings, increasing visitor numbers and boosting the province’s appeal as a comprehensive destination. Al-Shalabi affirmed that Dabin possesses the necessary attributes to become a leading natural tourist destination, especially given the ongoing efforts to protect and manage it.
