AMMAN — Irbid Governor Rodwan Al-Otoum said on Sunday
said that the governorate has coordinated with the National Center for Security
and Crisis Management to secure 13,000 shots of the COVID-19 vaccine for Irbid
residents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting with the committee head of Irbid Greater
Municipality and heads of municipality committees, among others, Al-Otoum added
that anyone who registers to the Health Ministry’s vaccination platform would
receive their shot “within two days.”
The governor noted that the number of vaccination centers
has been boosted, especially in areas with high population density, according
to Petra.
Al-Otoum stressed the importance of expanding the
national inoculation campaign, as “it is the only way to face the pandemic and
return to normal life.”
