The Ministry of Health has completed an expansion of the eye department at Al-Bashir Hospital and it has started receiving patients and visitors.

The Minister of Health Firas Al-Hawari, said in a press statement released on Monday that the expansion included the establishment of a general clinic, an optical clinic, a visual field examination room, and a patient waiting room.
Hawari added that the eye department at Al-Bashir Hospital was suffering from severe overcrowding.
He said that the expansion of the ophthalmology department will contribute significantly to improving the quality of health services provided by the ophthalmology department to patients, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Hawari confirmed that the specialized clinics are being developed and furnished, and they will be provided with the necessary nurses.
It is also noteworthy that the eye department at Al-Bashir Hospital consists of specialty clinics, a general clinic, an optometry clinic, a visually impairment clinic, a laser treatment clinic for diabetic retinopathy patients, in addition to an emergency eye clinic.
