The U.S. Department of Commerce announced on Wednesday that it has approved the export of advanced semiconductors to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

According to the department, the approval allows the UAE company G42 and the Saudi firm HuMain to purchase up to 35,000 units of Nvidia Blackwell chips.
The export licenses are subject to strict compliance with security requirements and reporting procedures.
The decision follows the signing of special artificial intelligence agreements between the U.S. and both the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The department emphasized that the move will support the continued global leadership of the United States in AI and technology and stated it will continue facilitating the export of U.S. AI technologies to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other allies and partners worldwide.
