AMMAN — The
Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced that
will increase its pensions by JD4.7 for eligible retirees.

The increase is linked to the
annual growth rate of the
average wages of the insured from the previous year. Aligning with
annual inflation rates and wage increases, the
growth rate in average wages of the
insured between 2021 and 2022 reached 1.3 percent, while the inflation rate for
the past year was 4.23 percent.
The increase will be
distributed equally to all retirees who
are entitled, regardless of their salaries.
Who is affectedThe increase affects male retirees who have completed the
age of 60 and age 55 for female retirees.
Also included are salaries for total and partial natural
disability, regardless of age,
total injury disability salary, and the
retirement pension for natural death or as a result of work injury.
