SSC extends Estidama program for the last time

AMMAN — Social Security Corporation (SSC) spokesperson Shaman Majali said on Wednesday that over 100,000 workers in private sector facilities and more than 7,000 establishments have benefited from the Estidama program since it began at the end of December 2020, according to Khaberni. The program, which covers a portion of workers’ wages in businesses and organizations that are unable to operate due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was slated to end in October, but the Prime Minister extended it for the purpose of moving out of the recovery stage into a state of full recovery.
