These agreements are part of the 2023–2040 Strategic Water Plans and ongoing government efforts to enhance and improve services provided to citizens, covering areas in western Irbid, with a total value of approximately JD 18.45 million, funded by the KfW German Development Bank.
Minister Abu Al-Saud emphasized that the government, through the Ministry/Water Authority, is accelerating the implementation of vital projects aimed at providing services to citizens at the highest standards. He explained that the first and second packages include the construction of wastewater networks serving parts of Marj Al-Hamam and Naour district in southwest Amman, with pipe diameters ranging from 300–600 mm over 32 km, alongside 5 km of household connections and the rehabilitation of 2 km of the Wadi Al-Seer main line to enhance wastewater services and improve environmental standards in line with sustainable development goals.
The areas covered by these packages include most of the Naour basins, with the ministry striving to extend wastewater services to the majority of the Kingdom.
The minister expressed his appreciation to the international partners, particularly the KfW German Development Bank, as well as the Arab Contractors Company for their continued efforts in implementing quality service projects in Jordan.
