Irbid Chamber of Industry reported a 1% increase in exports during the first ten months of the year, reaching $948.9 million.
The number of certificates of origin issued by the chamber reached 12,600, up from 12,400 in the same period last year, reflecting a 2.2% growth.

According to Hani Abu Hassan, Chairman of Irbid Chamber of Industry, the leather and ready-made garments sector led the province’s industrial exports, accounting for 81.8% of the total, driven by strong demand from U.S. and European markets.
The food and agricultural industries came second with 6.9%, followed by medical supplies and pharmaceuticals at 5.4%, chemical and cosmetic products at 3.4%, and plastics at 1%.
Abu Hassan noted that Hassan Industrial City contributed 95.6% of total exports, followed by Cyber City at 2.7%. The United States remains the main destination, receiving over half of Irbid’s industrial exports, while European countries accounted for 10.7% and Arab countries for 8.4%.
He emphasized that the industrial sector in northern Jordan continues to perform steadily despite regional challenges and global economic conditions, highlighting the resilience and adaptability of the industry in maintaining its contribution to national exports.
Abu Hassan also praised government support for improving the industrial investment environment and streamlining procedures, which helps preserve the competitiveness of Jordanian products. The chamber closely monitors monthly export performance and collaborates with government and partner institutions to open new markets and diversify the export base.
