The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Generations For Peace signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to expand training programmes at the ministry's Future Stations across the governorates.

The agreement covers training in digital and future skills, digital entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, alongside programmes on digital citizenship and online safety. It also provides for joint research on young people and digital skills, with findings feeding into programme design.
Smeirat said the partnership widens the range of expertise available to the Future Stations and allows programmes to be built closer to what the digital economy and the labour market actually require. Training should carry measurable outcomes and be monitored and evaluated, he added, so that successful models can be expanded across the governorates.
Hattab said the agreement reflects a commitment to equipping young people with the digital skills the labour market demands, and described the aim as creating inclusive and safe spaces combining innovation and digital citizenship. She placed particular emphasis on participation by marginalised groups and the inclusion of people with disabilities, calling investment in youth digital skills an investment in a more resilient future.
The two organisations already work together through the Youth Advisory Committee for Entrepreneurship and the Digital Economy, launched under the EU-funded Hudur project, which gives young people a route into identifying policy priorities and making recommendations.
Programmes under the agreement will run to work plans agreed in advance, setting out target groups, beneficiary numbers, locations, timetables, performance indicators and impact measurement.
