Amendments to general tax law are minor, official says

AMMAN — Vice President of the Income and Sales Tax Department Ibrahim Harb said Saturday that the amendments to the General Tax Law are minor, according to local media outlets.اضافة اعلان

The amendments were made to close some gaps in the old law and expanded the selling mechanism, which is the main axis, he said, adding that they are clarifications and an expansion of the taxation process, and that certain concepts were “interpreted”.

“The amendments will be beneficial for Jordan and create some equality among citizens; it will help stop tax evasion,” he said.
