Jordan to get 90 new schools

AMMAN  — Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi on Saturday announced that work is underway to build 90 schools across the Kingdom to address the overcrowding issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Kisbi said in a statement that throughout the current year, the ministry wrapped up and handed over 75 projects to the Ministry of Education, which included school buildings, classroom additions, sports facilities, and kindergartens. The work on school projects, he added, is carried out according to the highest engineering standards adopted globally to improve the educational process. Work on four new schools has already begun, he stated. He added that the project is funded by the German Construction Bank, while a tender to build 5 schools was awarded last week, funded by the Saudi Fund for Development. Kisbi said in a statement that throughout the current year, the ministry wrapped up and handed over 75 projects to the Ministry of Education, which included school buildings, classroom additions, sports facilities, and kindergartens.

The work on school projects, he added, is carried out according to the highest engineering standards adopted globally to improve the educational process.
