The Traffic Department began on Sunday morning implementing its special traffic plan for the return of students to schools, anticipating heavy traffic on main and secondary roads due to the use of school buses, private vehicles, and public transportation.

The department explained that the plan includes monitoring dangerous behaviors and recurring violations during the school year, such as the misuse of vehicles for purposes other than those designated, exceeding the legally permitted load, excessive speeding of school buses, and stopping at unsafe locations to pick up or drop off students. It noted that these violations pose risks to students’ safety and cause disruption to traffic flow.
The Traffic Department urged drivers and road users to cooperate with traffic officers, comply with their instructions, and allow sufficient time for travel to avoid speeding, thereby contributing to the safety of everyone and ensuring smoother traffic movement.
