Speaking at his meeting on Thursday, with a delegation from the Omani Journalists Association (OJA), Fayez noted Jordan is characterized by "attractive" tourism components, and availability of a "distinguished and unique" tourism product, such as heritage, cultural, medical, religious, educational tourism.

Jordan, he noted, occupies an "advanced" position in medical tourism and has health competencies and hospitals equipped with the latest equipment and technologies, which made it a "strong" competitor in the region.

The Kingdom has taken several measures to facilitate entry and procedures for patients coming for treatment on its territories, Fayez pointed out.

The delegation, for their part, lauded the "remarkable" development in Jordan's health infrastructure, as well as the services and facilitations provided to patients wishing to come to the Kingdom for treatment, in addition to the "high" reputation of the Kingdom's medical competencies.

The delegation also touched on the importance of strengthening Jordanian-Omani cooperation to promote tourism jointly, stressing that the Kingdom is "rich in many beautiful and unique tourist sites," in addition to its security, safety and advanced infrastructure.
