AMMAN — A group of individuals
claiming to be employees of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) stole a dog
from a woman in the capital city of Amman.
According to details obtained by
Khaberni, the individuals knocked on the woman's door on Sunday and demanded
that she hand over her pet dog to them, claiming to have received complaints
from residents of the neighborhood.
Pet theft for
profitAfter the woman contacted the
municipality, it became apparent that the individuals were actually just
thieves who specialize in stealing pets for the purpose of selling them.
Similar incidents of stealing pets
from homes in the same manner have occurred in different areas of the capital
city of Amman, Khaberni reported.
