Safadi is participating in the 164th ordinary session of the Arab League Council, during which he handed over the presidency of the session to the United Arab Emirates, within the framework of strengthening Arab cooperation.

He is also taking part in the meeting of the Committee for the Follow-up and Implementation of Decisions and Commitments at the ministerial level, which is convened alongside the Council’s regular session.

The 164th session focuses on key Arab issues, foremost among them the developments of the Palestinian cause, ongoing Jordanian and Arab efforts to urge Western countries to recognize the State of Palestine, as well as ways to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and support the resilience of the Palestinian people politically, economically, and socially.

The session also addressed recent developments in several Arab countries, including Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, and Somalia, in addition to ways of addressing current regional challenges to strengthen Arab national security.

Among the issues discussed were Arab economic and social cooperation, support for the Palestinian economy, and promoting economic integration within a comprehensive Arab vision to strengthen joint Arab action in the face of regional and international challenges.

The meeting further covered Arab cooperation with regional and international organizations and groupings, as well as discussions on climate change and the development of the Arab counter-terrorism framework.

On September 1, 2025, Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Amjad Adaileh, handed over the presidency to the representative of the United Arab Emirates during a session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives.
