AMMAN — All inbound tourist flights from Russia to Aqaba have been suspended, sources told Jordan News on Tuesday.

Flights from Russia have instead been redirected to Sharm El Sheikh, the sources said, adding that only one Russian flight was scheduled to Aqaba this week, which had later been cancelled.اضافة اعلان

The last plane from Russia landed on Sunday at the King Hussein International Airport to take back the Russian tourists who arrived in Jordan, on June 27, and spent a week in Aqaba among other areas of the Kingdom, the sources explained.

The sources cited the high cost of hotel accommodation, and mandatory PCR tests at the airport, hovering around $40, a source familiar with the issue told Jordan News.
