Prime Minister Dr Jafar Hassan held a meeting on Wednesday with the leadership and members of the Mubadara Party, as part of a new series of consultations with political parties he launched last week with a meeting of the National Charter Party.

The meeting was attended by a number of ministers, Mubadara Party Secretary-General Dr Mohammad Abu Hudaib, and the head of the party's parliamentary bloc, Ahmad al-Humaisat. Discussions focused on prominent national issues, chief among them the steps and mechanisms for advancing the political modernisation programme in the coming period, forthcoming legislative priorities, and the government's work and policies on various matters.
The meeting forms part of an ongoing approach to dialogue and consultation that the government has pursued over the past two years, during which the Prime Minister has held extensive meetings with parliamentary party blocs, professional trade unions, economic actors, and various other sectors.
