AMMAN— On
Thursday,
Minister of Culture Haifa Al-Najjar discussed with
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Iran, Iraq, and Public Diplomacy Jennifer Gavito, ways
to support the US’s cultural initiatives in Jordan, according to the Jordan
News Agency, Petra.

According to
a press release issued by the ministry, during the meeting, both sides
discussed ways to support projects to preserve
cultural heritage, and the
opportunities available to Jordanian youth.
Najjar said
that Jordan and the US share strong friendly relations, pointing to the cooperation
between the two friendly countries in various fields.
For her
part, Gavito stressed the importance of cooperation between the two friendly
countries in the cultural fields, including heritage projects and
youth
empowerment.
