The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the Water Authority said Saturday that an ongoing campaign by the Internal Control Unit, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, has uncovered new violations involving illegal well drilling and unauthorized connections to water networks across the Kingdom.

The ministry said that in North Azraq, authorities seized an unlicensed drilling rig being used to drill an illegal well inside a house.
In Sahab, south of Amman, authorities also detected two residential complexes and a commercial complex illegally tapping into water lines through unauthorized connections.
The ministry said the violations were removed, the drilling rig was confiscated and the sites were restored to their previous condition. Official reports were prepared and referred to the relevant authorities to complete investigations and take action against those responsible.
