Minister of Government Communications and official spokesperson for the government, Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, affirmed Jordan’s rejection and condemnation of Israeli measures and steps to impose sovereignty over the West Bank, as well as all attempts to undermine the two-state solution, stressing that “Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.”

In remarks to Sky News Arabia, Momani emphasized that Israel has no right to diminish the Palestinians’ entitlement to establish their own state, noting that such actions constitute a blatant violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.
He said: “The West Bank is occupied territory under international legitimacy and international law, and Israel is the occupying power in the West Bank. The only path to achieving security and stability lies in ending the occupation and establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
