The Ministry’s spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Zyoud, stated that inspection campaigns are being carried out across all governorates on establishments in sectors permitted to recruit non-Jordanian labor over the past months. The aim is to ensure that these workers are employed by the same employers and in the same professions for which permits were issued, and that no other violations are occurring.
He stressed that the Ministry will take all legal measures against establishments found not employing the non-Jordanian workers they had recruited, and will deport foreign workers proven to be in violation of the Labor Law—whether by changing employers or by working in professions other than those they were authorized for.
Al-Zyoud added that the Ministry will place an “electronic ban” on any establishment found to have committed violations related to non-Jordanian labor it was permitted to recruit.
