Jordan’s Ministry of Education announced that it will hold the lottery to select beneficiaries of the first phase of its land ownership initiative for teachers.
The ministry said the lottery will be conducted live on its official Facebook page at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, after finalizing the list of 200 male and female teachers selected for the first phase of the program.
It added that registration for the second phase of the initiative remains open through the ministry’s employee platform.
The government has allocated 1,039 land plots for teacher housing projects across the Kingdom through the Housing and Urban Development Corporation. The plots will be offered to teachers at discounts of up to 50% compared with the market value of similar properties.
The initiative was launched following directives from Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan to allocate land for teacher housing projects in governorates across Jordan. It forms part of a broader government support package for Ministry of Education teachers, in recognition of their vital role in educating future generations and as part of efforts to improve their living conditions and strengthen their professional and social standing.
