Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa announced that the ministry has so far distributed 3,285 heaters across eight governorates, in implementation of the Cabinet decision to replace 15,000 unsafe heaters with safe ones for eligible families and to allocate the necessary funds for this purpose. Distribution is carried out through Social Development Centers in the governorates and Tkiyet Um Ali.

Bani Mustafa stated that the ministry and the authorities assigned by the Prime Minister continue distributing the heaters. Over 3,000 heaters have already been provided to eligible families, with registrations being processed continuously. All registered families will be covered as the program proceeds across all governorates.
The Cabinet had tasked the Ministry of Social Development with replacing 15,000 unsafe heaters with safe ones for eligible families, allocating the necessary funding, and distributing them through Social Development Centers and Tkiyet Um Ali. This initiative is part of social protection efforts under the “Safe Winter” campaign, launched at the beginning of the winter season, and continues the ministry’s annual winter programs supporting vulnerable families.
