Jordan records highest COVID numbers since last April

AMMAN — There was a notable rise of registered COVID-19 cases this week, according to Al-Ghad News.

According to the Ministry of Health numbers, the total of cases registered the week of October 22 was 10,796, a 14 percent increase from the previous week, when there were 9,456 reported cases.اضافة اعلان

This is the highest recorded number of weekly cases in the Jordan since the week of April 23, when the Kingdom recorded 12,209 total cases.

The week in which Jordan recorded the lowest number of new cases was the week of June 11, when the number of new cases stood at 3,146. 

This week’s positivity rates averaged around 4.9 percent, similar to last week.

Jordan recorded 86 COVID-19 deaths last week; a 21 percent increase from the week prior,  which amounts to a 21 percent increase from the week prior to it, where the Kingdom recorded 71 deaths.
