Jordan records 620 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Friday reached 13, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 620 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Friday, bringing the death toll to 9,436 and the caseload to 734,659.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Friday’s tally, the ministry said:

288 in Amman
109 in Zarqa
79 in Irbid
41 in Mafraq
27 in Ajloun
15 in Maan
14 in Balqa
13 in Aqaba 
11 in Karak
10 in Jerash
7 in Madaba
6 in Tafileh

The ministry added in a statement that some 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 83 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,590, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.86 percent of the 21,672 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
