Jordan records 500 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded today reached 10, according to the Ministry of Health, while a total of 500 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 9,592 and the caseload to 743,331.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

238 in Amman
75 in Zarqa
55 in Irbid
28 in Balqa
22 in Mafraq
17 in Karak
15 in Maan
12 in Jerash
12 in Ajloun
10 in Madaba
3 in Tafileh
3 in Aqaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 52 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 72 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 7,520, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.96 percent of the 18,617 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
