Jordan records 301 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded today reached 12, according to the Ministry of Health, while a total of 301 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Friday, bringing the death toll to 9,647 and the caseload to 745,667.اضافة اعلان



Breaking down Friday’s tally, the ministry said:

150 in Amman
49 in Irbid
49 in Zarqa
18 in Mafraq
9 in Ajloun
8 in Balqa
6 in Tafilah
4 in Karak
2 in Jerash
2 in Madaba
2 in Ma'an
1 in Aqaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 54 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 64 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 6,652, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.11 percent of the 14,236 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
