Jordan ranked 81st out of more than 170 countries in the world.
The Legatum Prosperity Index is a framework that rates countries based on
the prosperity of their populations, reflecting both economic and social
well-being.
The index reflects the wealth of a prosperous life, and goes beyond
traditional macroeconomic measures of a country’s prosperity, which rely solely
on wealth indicators such as per capita income (
GDP per individual).
The evaluation is based on 12 pillars, including security and safety,
personal freedoms, governance and controls on authority, investment
environment, health axis, educational axis, infrastructure, and living
conditions.
Three hundred different indicators from more than 70 different data
sources were used to build the database.
