During Kisbi’s participation in the World Urban Forum 11th Session in Poland, the statement said, the minister along with Sharif also discussed means of enhancing future cooperation between Jordan and the UN agency.

Kisbi reviewed the New Urban Agenda reporting that submitted by the Kingdom during the High-level Meeting of the UN General Assembly to assess implementation of the New Urban Agenda in the United Nations, New York in April, 2022.

Kisbi, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation, noted that one of the most prominent challenges that the Kingdom faced with regard to urban development was the refugee issue in the Middle East region.

He added that Jordan has hosted large numbers of refugees, which adversely affected urban plans, which require concerted global efforts to support Amman to enable it to achieve the sustainable urban development.
