Interior Minister Mazen Al-Farrayeh paid an unannounced visit on Monday to the Jaber Border Crossing as part of his ongoing follow-up on border facilities.

During his tour, Al-Farrayeh inspected current infrastructure improvement projects, including the expansion of inspection canopies, the development of customs yards, and the installation of cargo and baggage inspection (X-ray) systems. These projects are expected to be completed before mid-year.
The minister also reviewed work procedures at the crossing and the services provided to travelers. He was briefed on cargo movement between Jordan and Syria and met with a number of travelers and drivers using the border crossing.
