The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority announced on Wednesday that its inspection teams, working with Yarmouk Water Company, conducted a large-scale inspection campaign in the Northern Jordan Valley. The operation resulted in the seizure of illegal connections on a 4-inch main water line, which had been tapped to supply farms and homes unlawfully. This action is part of the ongoing campaign by the water sector to curb violations against water resources across the Kingdom.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry stated that the violations were removed, and official records were prepared to refer the cases to the competent authorities for legal action against the offenders.

The Water Authority emphasized that its teams will continue regular inspection campaigns according to the planned schedule, covering all regions of the Kingdom. These efforts, carried out in coordination with relevant agencies, have produced positive and ongoing results. Under the amended Water Law, anyone who tampers with water resources faces imprisonment, with penalties for offenders reaching several years in prison and fines of tens of thousands of Jordanian dinars.
