In a statement to Al-Mamlaka, Al-Assaf highlighted the unprecedented cooperation from citizens, reflecting a heightened awareness of traffic safety and the importance of such campaigns.
He noted that the campaign involves specialized teams from the Traffic Department, the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection, and technical staff from the Public Security Directorate’s Maintenance Division.
Al-Assaf added that SMS notifications have been sent to owners of vehicles found with deficiencies. Vehicle owners are required to visit traffic departments or licensing offices during official working hours, or use mobile evening inspection stations, which were introduced for the first time this year, to correct defects in their vehicles.
He emphasized that the campaign does not involve vehicle license confiscation; drivers will instead receive notifications to rectify errors and repair issues. (Al-Mamlaka)
