The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has announced that it will launch a comprehensive and intensive campaign to pave a large number of residential neighborhoods and vital main streets across various districts of the capital, Amman. Execution is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks, following the tendering of two engineering contracts with a total value of JOD 7 million.

The Executive Director of Roads at GAM, Engineer Suleiman Al-Shammari, confirmed that the execution plan relies on a precise distribution of engineering and time schedules. The first tender was designated for internal residential neighborhoods, with paving works to be carried out during the "daytime shift." Meanwhile, the second tender was allocated to vital and main streets, with work to be conducted during the "nighttime shift" to avoid creating traffic congestion during peak hours.
GAM called on citizens and road users to cooperate with the technical and field teams, who will be working around the clock to complete all works included in the two tenders according to the highest technical standards and within a record timeframe.
The municipality emphasized that the execution plan for the paving works will be carried out in coordination with the Traffic Department to organize traffic flow and set up the necessary detours on-site, ensuring smooth traffic movement and the safety of road users.
