Gov’t to control donation process as Ramadan approaches

AMMAN — Social Development Minister Ayman Al-Mufleh said on Monday that the government is working to legalize electronic donations to curb unregulated, chaotic donations, according to Ad-Dustour daily.اضافة اعلان

Mufleh said that the ministry organized a special fundraising campaign before Ramadan, and that because some entities embark on collecting donations without enjoying a legal status, the ministry is working to organize the process by setting legal frameworks.

He said that when upon donating, citizens must request a receipt and approval number from the Ministry of Social Development, which is useful in tax exemption cases.
