The authority confirmed that these measures include field inspections to ensure compliance with approved health regulations and standards, supporting this strategic sector of significant economic and social importance.

The campaigns also aim to support this traditional national product, which is exported to many countries worldwide and enjoys a distinguished reputation in regional and international markets due to its high quality and adherence to the strictest standards and specifications.

JFDA issued a circular to relevant authorities requiring a permanently printed label on all olive oil containers of all sizes, brands, and packaging types—including metal tins—detailing the type of oil, container capacity, name and address of the press, country of origin, and production season for 2025/2026.

In addition, the authority launched the campaign “Check Your Oil Before It Enters Your Home” across the Kingdom, offering free rapid preliminary testing at its branches.

Alongside regulatory efforts, JFDA emphasizes awareness and guidance regarding the purchase of olive oil and best practices through multiple initiatives, campaigns, and informational brochures.
