FM takes part at Munich Security Conference

MUNICH - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi took part at the Munich Security Conference which opened today. On the sidelines of the conference Safadi held a series of meetings with a number of his counterparts and heads of delegation participating at the gathering. The meetings at the three-day conference covered bilateral ties, a number of the Middle East issues, namely, the Palestinian cause, the Syrian crisis, Iraq, Lebanon, refugees issue and the fight against terrorism. Safadi held talks with the Lebanese prime minister, Kosovo's prime minister and the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Georgia, Swede, Finland, Germany. He also met with the European Commissioner for Budget and Administration, the European Commissioner for Home Affairs, in addition to the President of the World Economic Forum.
