Environment ministry urges residents to abide by precautionary measures

AMMAN — The Ministry of Environment has warned residents about the effects of the dust storms that have affected the Kingdom. It urged them to take precautionary measures, such as wearing face masks and closing their doors and windows, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The Environment Minister, Muawieh Al-Radaideh, has also warned about the effects of the dust storms on the elderly and pregnant women. He noted that when the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds three, the health conditions of the people will become worse.

He noted that the monitoring station at al-Hasa has reached a dangerous level (level six), which means that healthy individuals might experience reduced endurance, and noticeably strong symptoms, elders and the sick should also avoid all outdoor activities.
