Drinking water almost non-existent in Jordan Valley dams

AMMAN — Secretary-General of the Jordan Valley Authority Manar Al-Mahasneh said Monday that the storage level of drinking water in Jordan Valley dams is almost “non-existent”, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

While the amount of water in the Mujib dam is less than 400,000 cubic meters, and Al-Wehda dam only has 16 percent of its total capacity left, Mahasneh said.

She said that the storage ratio in the Jordan Valley dams designated for irrigation is close to last year’s ratio. She said that the quantity of water in dams designated for irrigation is about 76 million cubic meters, or 27 percent of the total storage capacity.
