The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said on Sunday evening that the new update of the government “Sanad” app received widespread attention from citizens since its announcement earlier in the day. The update includes new digital features and services aimed at facilitating and speeding up government transactions and enhancing the user experience, which led to a noticeable increase in app usage within a short period.

The ministry added in a press statement that, as a result, the app experienced simultaneous access by large numbers of users at the same time, exceeding the current capacity of the system and causing temporary technical pressure on the platform.
It is worth noting that under normal conditions, the “Sanad” app records high usage rates, which shows that the surge following the update announcement exceeded usual levels.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship explained that technical teams are currently working to enhance system resources and increase capacity through technical measures aimed at ensuring service stability and improving performance, with all services expected to return to full functionality shortly.
