The tour focused on assessing the readiness of the rainwater drainage networks, reviewing the emergency plan for handling any potential rise in water levels in valleys and flood pathways, and ensuring that emergency teams, machinery, and equipment are prepared to respond to various weather-related scenarios.
Al-Majali emphasized that all emergency teams are operating under a clear and integrated plan, in continuous coordination with security and government agencies, to ensure rapid response and immediate handling of any issues that may arise. He stressed the importance of real-time monitoring of weather developments and updating procedures as needed.
For his part, Governor Al-Awaysha urged citizens to adhere to the guidance issued by official authorities and to avoid approaching valleys and areas prone to water accumulation, especially during peak weather conditions.
ASEZA, in cooperation with the Aqaba Governorate, continues to monitor the weather situation closely to ensure public safety and the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.
