Demand for electric vehicles jumps 250% — Abu Nasser

AMMAN — Representative of the Free Zones Vehicle Sector Jihad Abu Nasser predicted that demand for electric vehicles will increase next year, noting that the market share of electric vehicles was 30 percent of the total of vehicles cleared this year.اضافة اعلان

This year, the demand for electric vehicles has risen by 250 percent, compared with last year, with the number of EVs entering the local market at approximately 13,000 he said.

He said that the demand for electric vehicles is expected to continue to increase, as the price of oil derivatives continue rising, according to Jo24.

The electric vehicles are usually imported from China, or Korea, he added.
