DPA's director calls for ceasing camps' renovation works, urges pre-assessment

AMMAN— Director General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs (DPA), Rafiq Kharfan, called for stopping any construction or renovation work carried out by the owners of housing units in the camps, until all necessary engineering procedures are verified, in terms of the facility’s safety and the validity of the granted licenses, according to Khaberni News. اضافة اعلان

Kharfan instructed the department's offices’ directors in the 13 camps distributed across Jordan to check the housing units that have not yet been rehabilitated, within a project to rehabilitate the poor’s’ homes, and to prepare a detailed list of the houses that need maintenance as quickly as possible to deal with them in a preventive manner.

He also called for cooperation with the Planning and Projects Directorate, in addition to taking the necessary action as soon as possible in order to maintain peoples’ lives and property.
