Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II chaired a regular meeting of the National Council for Future Technology on Tuesday, where members briefed him on progress with the Sanad Business application.

The Crown Prince directed that the application carry the services Jordanian business owners and citizens need, and that its readiness be confirmed before launch in coordination with the relevant government bodies. Development should continue after release, he added, with user feedback addressed as it comes in.
The meeting also covered digital payments. The Crown Prince called for expanding them to simplify transactions for citizens, particularly those involving government services.
Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, who chairs the council, attended.The council was established in early 2025 on royal directive, bringing together private sector technology specialists to coordinate national digital projects.
It has overseen the Siraj learning assistant, the Jordan Digital Health Centre, digital signature services and the continued development of Sanad, the government's unified services platform. Around 2.5 million digital identities had been activated through Sanad as of April.
